title says it all... i have heard we had some orange intermodal cranes but i can't seem to find any pictures can anyone help? MY modern SP cannot go on with out cranes!

I realize that this was originally posted over a year ago so I'm probably wasting my time. I've got pics of several SP intermodal cranes that might be of interest. I'll have to dig them out and get them posted.

Also, an excellent reference for what your looking for is the Southern Pacific Color Guide to Freight and Passenger Equipment, Volume 1. The author is Anthony Thompson published by Morning Sun Books, ISBN 1-58248-003-6.
You will find several excellent photos of early intermodal cranes which is a technology that SP helped pioneer.

I found this photo of an SP MiJack at City of Industry. Not the greatest photo but it's something. Some of the pics I've got stashed away somewhere are of the PiggyPackers that were used at the Bullring for a while. Still have to dig those up. www.rrpicturearchives.net/rsPicture.aspx?id=721454

Closest I can come is a Ford C-700, non hi-rail, with a Utility crane and bed. will post pictures if you like. Dan
