I know it's odd, but here we are on January 2nd at 2:45p.m., local time amd it is snowing in Palmdale, California.
The air temperature is 30 degrees F or -1 degree C.
I never thought I would be in an area when it was snowing, but I am.

Its not that odd at all. When I was in school in Lancaster, I had snow days from time to time. In December 1979, it snowed two feet. Before the Carls Jr. on Palmdale Blvd was remodeled, they had pictures of that storm, hanging in the restaurant.

Thom, it's funny that you mention Carl's Junior. There is one at the corner of Palmdale boulevard and 20th street east. The one here in Palmdale is about two miles from where I live. Also, Palmdale high school is close by on 20th street east.
Usually once or twice a week I go to the Yum Yum doughnut shop at the corner of Palmdale boulevard and 20th street east.
The mainline for the Southern Pacific line is about two blocks from my home to the south of me.
