Here's a list of surviving Red Electric equipment (unfortunately not a very long list): RPO/Baggage, later Pacific Electric 1406 Trailer Coach, later SP 485 (I believe this was used as a rider coach/caboose on the Tillamook Branch for many years). PE equipment was often similar to Red Electric equipment, but the Red Electric cars were much shorter. The SP had three electric motors in use in Oregon which might be similar to PE 1624 at the Orange Empire Railroad Museum.

WOW!!!! Two very historic cars. You're right Brian, they would look good after a nice restoration.

I heard a bunch of the red electric equipment made it to South America - some of which is still around. Any truth to that?

I have no idea if anything went to South America but BOY, would that be cool if it was, and could be brought back!
I think it'd be great to bring those two cars from California, restore them for a static display either at the McMinnville depot, or at the Dundee substation, as part of a Red Electric museum. (Yes, operable would be better - MUCH better - but neither of the cars retain their motors, the cost to install overhead wire...and the WST route would be great but Metro/TriMet/Lake Oswego are set on building the Streetcar there.)
