Heading home with the World's Fair Daylight The return trip to Portland, OR continues with the departure from LAUPT of SP #4449 and the World's Fair Daylight, running as Tr.#99, along the east bank of the Los Angeles River in 1984.

"Tough Guys" Movie Train - SP Coastline 1986 X4449 Daylight and the Tough Guys movie train running eastbound south of Santa Barbara at Pt. Fernald on the then Southern Pacific Coastline route heading for Los Angeles in 1986.

Ya know Herb, it would be nice to see the 4449 travel around the system. I just don't think UP will do that.

Unless there are policy changes at the top, no predecessor steam locomotives will run over UP's lines. We should all be thankful to the BNSF for allowing the #4449 to travel over its rails.
