GS-4 #4442 sits outside the backshop in El Paso Texas waiting for the completion of a major shoping. Picture was taken by Gordon H. Motts in the early 50's.

Great photo sptrainnut. Check that number again as this cannot be the #4412. She would have had only a single headlight. Definitely a GS-4 or 5 though. I'd be interested to know what the correct number is if you can track it down.

Herb, my bad, I blew up the shot on Photo Shop Elements and after looking at it more closely, it says 4442 on the left cylinders, sorry for the confusion. I'll see if I can edit the statement. Thanks for catching it. Unfortunately, the picture is so small that you can't really see all of the details that were recorded.

We have a winner! 4442 was part of the first order of GS-4s in 1941. Should you ever need assistance, I'd be more than glad to help you where I can. Daylights especially!
