;D Here's a look back at Southern Pacific's Taylor Yard in 1984 with a westbound on the #1 Main along San Fernando Road.

Thanks Gary. Yes, Taylor will always hold a special place in my heart. Did you ever make it over to the diesel shop/turntable area? Got some great shots there I'll have to share when I can dig them out.

Yes Herb, I was able to snoop around the entire yard.
Gemco yard, Taylor yard and West Colton were all high up on my favorites list of yards to visit. I felt as if the Southern Pacific had wonderful places to visit.
I usually had a copy of the SP Western Region Timetable with me. This one I carried came into effect on Octber 25, 1987.

Yes Herb, I was able to snoop around the entire yard. Excellent! Gemco yard, Taylor yard and West Colton were all high up on my favorites list of yards to visit. I felt as if the Southern Pacific had wonderful places to visit. Back in the 1980s, thanks to a good friend of mine who knew his way around, I was able to get into LA's yards for the Santa Fe, Southern Pacific and Borg. Try that these days! I usually had a copy of the SP Western Region Timetable with me. This one I carried came into effect on Octber 25, 1987. The last WRTT I have from the SP is #4, effective Saturday, 11/24/90.
