Good to see Cotton Belt power. I stumbled on an ex SSW GP35 in Southern Quebec once and that's the closest I came to see one. What I really like is the nose to nose paired switchers, anybody shot that on film?
Regards,
René

Cotton Belt owned 94 tunnel motors and didn't have a single tunnel.

One of the interesting things about Mojave is that two different pools of mainline crews would pass by there. One pool would run between Los Angeles and Bakersfield. The other pool would run between West Colton and Bakersfield.
Other crews would work the branches.

Once,in the early 80s,a freind and I tok the Sunset from L.A. to Tucson. Somewhere, during the night,a Cotton Belt GP40-2 had been put on the point. This was the only time I have ridden behind a Cotton Belt unit.
