We had a hot ome today in the San Fernando Valley. It got upto 104 degrees F today. Tp check things out, click on data.piercecollege.edu/weather to see how the weather has been around my place.

It has cooled off here in Kentucky, only 87 yesterday and sposed to be 85 today.

So far this month it hasn't been below 90 degrees. We've had six straight days of at least 100 degrees. It's looking like it will be a hot summer here in the valley.

It will be a hot one today on Cajon pass. This afternoon UP 1996,1988 (SP and Katy heritage units) will be on a westbound freight.

I will stay away from the tracks until I hear the abomination has headed east again...
On the temp front, it was 103 in Simi last Thursday; today it was in the low 90's by noon.

It only got to 98 degrees F today around here. It's nice to see it cooling off. It's been as high as 108, I believe, a couple days ago.
A railfan can see the heat rise from the tracks on the coast and Saugas lines the past several days.
Only one day below 90 this month!!

Today, my kid was extra good and I took him to Toy's R Us over in Porter Ranch to get some extra Lego's. At 3PM, in our driveway in Simi it was 91; I drive over the hill and in Porter Ranch it's 97 in the parking lot at the store, ten minutes later.
