I started a semi-freelance, what-if, NWP N-scale layout. It will cover Tiburon Harbor (on my layout still in operation), San Rafael and part of the SP line over the Sierras. I have been (on and off) working on the harbor but have not done anything beyond that. I have custom painted some of the engines that run on the old NWP lines. I also started to decal buses that would run as feeders for the NWP/Caltrain lines. Of course since my NWP is still in business, they need some freight cars.

I saw the NWP back in 1978 and then again in 1987. My wife's family lives in Fortuna so I am familiar with that end of the line. My father-in-law and now two of my brother-in-laws work at the PALCO mill in Scotia. It is a small world sometimes.
