Going deeper into that small collection of Ken Garges I found this jewell and I thought of just the place to post this. I don't know where this is, but we have a couple of clues. The tile roofed building behind the cabeese, the hill in the background and a double track signal should get us started.

The caboose platform seen at the extreme left seems to be another Rock Island crummy.This would suggest that this location is somewhere on the Rock Island.

I don't know where this is, but we have a couple of clues. The tile roofed building behind the cabeese, the hill in the background and a double track signal should get us started. An ancient thread, but what the heck! Unanswered questions about old wooden Cotton Belt cabeese are always intriguing!
Could this pic be taken in Memphis, Tennessee?? SSW ran more trains over RI trackage from Brinkley Ark to Memphis than the RI did, when this photo was taken. Could that 'hill' in the background be 'the bluff' of the BLUFF CITY? Things that make ya go hmm....
