Lets face it, some of the areas that SP ran through were not the best. It did not seem to matter what larger SP town you were in; head to the roughest part and you found the Friendly hard at work.

When you think of places like Tehachapi,Donnner,Shasta,or the Cascades,especially in spring,you would swear that SP stood for Supremely Picturesque!

[/glow] [glow=black,4,800] I totally agree; my point was an unspoken thought, the paradox, if you will, where this one mighty railroad, ran trains through some of God's greatest scenery, but it also operated through some unsightly urban areas.[/glow]
