A friend and I went to the Pasadena Model Railroad Club this past week and thought it was pretty cool. It's housed in a 70 by 72 foot former warehouse and the operations are great. The building sits right next to some old espee railroad tracks located at 5458 Alhambra Avenue in Los Angeles. If you're in the area pay them a visit. The mainline is 1,700 feet long with a minimun curve radius of 42 inches. They began their operations in 1940 and have continued to the present. Check them out if you'll be in the area. For times of meetings, operating times and so on call them at 1-323-222-1718 for more information. I think you'll like it!!

The last time I went to the PMRC SP must have had seventyfive to a hundred engines parked on tracks outside. All of them looking like they had been cannibalized for parts. Needless to say it was quite a few years ago. Great layout. would highly recommend it if you have the time when they are open.

That was Aurent Yard you are calling, some old SP railroad tracks, the Yuma Division timetables have it as Alhambra. I remember when they built that layout, but then I had been to the old layout before theu moved.
