I do not have very many pics of SP steam, and about half of what I have is not all that great, but every once in a while, even fumble fingered photographers like me get lucky!
Here is proof of that...I think God might just be a railfan too; but if not, he is a great companion.

A real beauty John. Just look at those white-tired drivers!! Looks like Doyle is giving you all the smoke you could ask for.

A real beauty John. Just look at those white-tired drivers!! Looks like Doyle is giving you all the smoke you could ask for. True story, he was running a very clean stack until he saw me step out to take that shot, about 500 yards ahead of where this pic was snapped, out poured the dark smoke, just like if we planned it this way. What is it they say, the Lord works in mysterious ways (or protects crazy people and fools, either one works for me).
Whats even funnier Herb, that frame was the last shot on the roll; I must have advanced the film too far before closing the camera back, cause this was shot 34 on a 36 shot roll; I can see where they added some material on the slide in the frame, almost 10%...then there were all the scratches that came from nowhere! I be a loving Photoshop.
Thanks for all the kind words from everybody; I'm just glad I can keep posting these images on the net. Just think, our pics will form a portion of the collective history of the SP and SSW for future generations; fans that are not even born yet will have all manner of books and the internet photographic record, sources I dared not even dream of 30 years ago.
