Southern Pacific GS-4 "Daylight", running as X4449, takes a sweeping curve eastbound through the rocks of Santa Susana Pass towards Los Angeles to take part in filming sequences for the movie "Tough Guys" in 1986.

Glad you like it. Too bad that #4449 will not likely run on the coast again the way UP is about predecessor roads like SP running on their rails.

Thanks Gary! I always tried to make every shot of #4449 special in some way. I can only imagine what it was like trying to capture on film the end of steam era operations.

Awesome! Could have been an official SP photo from the 1940s. Thanks very much espeefoamer. SP sure used Santa Susana Pass for many of their famous publicity photos. A little before my time!
