I was wondering if any of the forum members have a SPINS list? Things like this show the busines's that the SP served.

Been looking on Ebay for a SPINS book with the Mojave Sub. They are hard to find.

One of my buddies has a copy of SP's entire L.A. area Terminal Directory, and it has every turnout and spot from Burbank Jct to San Pedro, even the PE stuff. I am trying to get him to have it copied and published by the SPHTS. This predates SPINS by several years, but the maps are about the same.
I'd love to find a SPINS for almost anywhere I used to railfan; that would be great.

I found one for zones 60 thru 64. It covers the coast mainline between Simi and Burbank Junction. It is dated August, 1987.

If there is any way you can share that zone 60-64 SPINS that would extremely helpful. I remember a Keebler Cookie factory between Northridge and Van Nuys, and I was wondering if they had a track to receive cars. Also, I'm interested in the industries in general from Chatsworth to Burbank. I think I'd like to model this section of the coast line someday in N scale. Thanks.

Great! That gives me an industry for the covered hoppers. I would model the Budweiser plant but even in N Scale that would require more space than I'm willing to give.

I sent you a PM Tim. The spins list comes complete with maps!! Also, if a switch has been spiked, that will be shown. If you need I can send you an ETT dated October 25, 1987.

Actually I have a southern region '85 and a western region '89 already, so I think I'm pretty well covered on ETT, but thanks. Some very cool crew members on locals in the San Fernando Valley gave me those. If I hear or meet someone looking for that year I'll keep that in mind.

sp9811 Did you ever get the spin booklet for the Mojave Sub ?. I donated several of my California SPINS books to the CSRRM library in Sacramento last year. They had an accordion file of other spins booklets. I was looking for the SPINS booklet on Emeryville, and they later copied it for me. I hope that this will help if you haven't gotten it yet/

No, I have yet to find one. But thanks for reminding me to contact the museum. I just sent them a note about it. Thom

I just acquired two of them, don't ask what I paid; it was a princely sum. They are from the areas I first railfanned, when I learned to pay attention to just one railroad at a time for modeling purposes.
I got the Santa Ana Branch, via 2 books, from Studebaker Wye to Anaheim Station.

If you would like a vastly income tax right off, copy the SPINS booklets, for your own use, scan it for the forum into the computer, and then donate it to the CSRRM Library. I Don't know how many SPINS booklets were printed at one time, but they are very scarce.

I was considering doing something like that. Mine are copyrighted in 1981, and I was considering making several clone copies to play with or for friends.

Good morning all! I am looking for a SPINS book from Elvas to Fresno. I am sure it may be multiple books. Any photocopies would be great and am willing to cover the cost of the copies thanks!
