Hi all Wondering if anybody out there collects/runs old rolling stock? Such as N scale Atlas first generation, AHM, Minitrix etc. I model in N so the ones I mention are N, but how about the other gauges? I collect/run classic Atlas, AHM, Con Cor, Trix models, and also some E-R Models reproductions. This site... www.irwinsjournal.com/a1g/is very good for A1G cars. Would love to find the A1G 3110 Series: 94 Foot Super Tank Cars!

I enjoy runnig with the Altas rolling stock. I have an area in the gargage that has an area thats 8 feet by 4 feet at one end in an "L" shape lay out and 12 feet by 4 feet along another end. I use HO scale. I usually have my scanner on to hear the traffic on the coast, mostly in the Northridge and Chatsworth areas.

I have some Walther's kit-built head end cars, that were built the year I was born (1956); I picked them up on ebay. I have a Varney tank car and a few of his box cars too, even a metal Athearn flat car still sees service now and again. How about an Ambroid door and a half automobile box that was made in the 70's, does that count? There are a bunch of Ken Kidder passenger cars too, some in the green, and some in the economy gray paint too, just because. The majority of my brass steam are older models too...in fact, I still have the first two brass caboose cars that I bought used back in the mid 70's. With a little work, one can make nearly any classic type car look pretty darned good. Swapping out the thick stirrup steps and giant brake wheels, is a cheap and easy start.
