After a dramatic struggle to conquer the 2.4% eastbound grade over Vincent Summit on the Mojave Sub's Saugus Line, #4449 and the World's Fair Daylight continue the journey to Los Angeles' LAUPT on May 12, 1984.

Beautiful! It's tough to find a picture of that train without a bunch of foamers in the photo.

Thanks guys. Fortunately, the photo line was to the left and right of me on the shoulder of the road. One would have taken their life into their own hands if they had jumped out in front of us.

I appreciate that Gary. I'd sure rather have my photos available for viewing than sitting in boxes in my den.
