Saugus Line, SP MP425.6, sounds like any other SP mile post, but this one was different. This is Paris, the old site of a siding, guarded by a classic SP cantilever signal bridge. I first discovered her in 1994. She didn't have her signal anymore, but she still stood proud. Here is my "Study in Steel" of this old SP sentinel. The PCX climbs towards Paris. PCX An eastman. SP runs a helper east on the Saugus.
