With plenty of SP power distributed throughout this remarkable unit train, the loaded "Oil Cans" heads east around the Tehachapi Loop at Walong in Tehachapi Pass in 1985.

Thanks espeefoamer. Truer words were never sung! All the railfans that never took this train for granted have many classic images to call their own.

I often saw the loaded oil cans cut their helpers out at the west switch in Sylmar. Truely amazing to see this train in action. Hard to believe it was over 10,000 tons and carried almost 2 million gallons of crewd oil.
It was my favorite train!!
