Looking east across the Los Angeles River from Mission Tower towards the SP's Alhambra Line and the "Shops" facility, a Southern Pacific freight pulls through East Bank Jct. heading for points south.

Thanks Gary. I used to enjoy the few opportunities I had to shoot from inside Mission Tower. You could also stand at the base of the tower for hours at a time and shoot the passing parade of trains with no hassles.

Great shot Herb! One of the many cool things about the SP, friendly employees that were ok with letting you into places you usually couldn't get to!

All the things that the Southern Pacific employees allowed the railfans to do made the SP a great railroad to be around.
